Terms of Business
We are a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors and subscribe to its current Code of Practice, a copy of which is available upon request. We aim to act in a professional manner and provide a courteous, sensitive and digified service to you.
1. Estimates and Expenses
Our estimate is an indication of the charges likely to be incurred on the basis of the information and details we know at the date of estimate. While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the estimate, the charges are liable to alteration particularly where third parties change their rates or charges.
We may not know the amount of third party charges in advance of the funeral. However we will give you an estimate of such charges on the written estimate. The actual amount of the charges will be detailed and shown on the final account.
If you amend your instructions, we will require your confirmation of the changes. We may need to make an extra charge in accordance with prices published in our current price list.
2. Deposits and Payment Arrangements
Fees and disbursements associated with the funeral, such as crematorium and cemetery fees, medical fees and Church fees are paid by us on behalf of our clients.
Due to the extent of these costs we may request a deposit to cover these charges, particularly as we are often required to pay these fees in advance, and in certain circumstances we may require full payment in advance.
The final invoice for either the full amount of amount outstanding is submitted a week to ten days after the funeral has taken place.
We realise there may be unavoidable delay in payment for funeral invoices and naturally we take a sympathetic view. However we reserve the right to charge interest if the account remains unpaid after 30 days unless otherwise agreed by us in writing. The amount of interest is calculated at 1 % per month or 2 1/2 % above the Company Bank's Base Rate per annum (whichever is the greater).
We do provide the facility to accept payment by Bank Transfer and Debit Card.
3. Data Protection

We respect the confidential nature of the information given to us and , where you provide nus with personal data ("data"), we will ensure that the data will be held securely, in confidence and processed for the purpose of carrying out our services. In order to provide our services we may need to pass such data to third parties and those third parties, who are performing some of the services for you, may contact you directly. We never sell information we have collected to third parties for marketing purposes.
